Sarah Gee is an artist and illustrator based on the land of the Kombumerri families of the Yugambeh language region, Gold Coast.
She creates colourful illustrations, felted sculptures and paintings inspired by flora and fauna, with a current focus on local native and endangered insect species.
Currently in residence at Helensvale Library and Cultural Centre*, Sarah’s studio-based practice is grounded in storytelling, exploring the organic shapes, patterns and textures found in nature. In producing her artworks, Sarah hopes to bring joy for viewers, spark curiosity and encourage care for our natural environment.

CURRENT EXHIBITION
The Little Pink House and The Golden Garden is a collaborative exhibition by local artists Claire Bear and Sarah Gee. Viewers are invited to explore this vivid display of interior and exterior spaces, as shaped by the artists through their shared connection to the Gold Coast and complimentary exploration of memory, identity and place.
The exhibition will run from the 15th to 21st of July, with a special opening event on Friday 17th July. We would love for you to join us in celebrating the opening of our exhibition!
